There aren't many doujins out there from the very talented Aria Pokoteng and her 2x1 centric circle K2. This circle was active in the Gundam Wing fandom for a very short time a few years after the series was over, just when most other circles were already moving on to greener pastes, but it still managed to make a huge impression portraying in an incredibly realistic way the deep and complex relationship between Duo and Heero in the post-Endless Waltz era.
When you read one of K2 doujins, you really come to believe this could have happened, because eventhough Duo and Heero certainly deserve happiness together right away, the war and their difficult lives left a profound scar inside them which needs to heal before they can fully come into themselves. Happily ever after may not come easy, but it'll come eventually. And I can guarantee the wait makes it even sweeter!
Today's release is all of the above and more. A long plotty story about a lost child who was taught to be the Perfect Soldier and yet never learned to wish anything for himself, who never knew how to start living even after the war was over. It's also a story about finding and accepting the person who was always there for him and made him realize that it was okay to want. A story about holding into for what really matters. A story that starts and ends with the beautiful music of Christmas Carols...
